    About the DHIS2 Academy

The DHIS2 Academy program is one component in the HISP approach to DHIS2 capacity building for national teams, regional organizations, and the global DHIS2 community. Through a combination of online courses and intensive in-person training — that includes both theoretical and practical sessions — Academy participants develop DHIS2 knowledge and skills, helping prepare them to support their organization’s data collection, analysis, and reporting needs using DHIS2.

The Academy program provides practical knowledge of DHIS2 tools and best practices, and is regularly updated to incorporate new concepts, program areas, and system features. With more than 14,000 participants from over 100 countries attending in person academy events since 2011 and more than 100,000 enrollments in online courses since the DHIS2 Online Academy launched in 2017, the DHIS2 Academy has a proven track record of strengthening DHIS2 capacity worldwide.

Some benefits of attending an official DHIS2 Academy training program are:

    • Receive an official DHIS2 Academy certificate
    • Learn about the latest DHIS2 features
    • Network and interact with members of the global DHIS2 community
    • Ask questions and share feedback directly with DHIS2 experts
    • Learn from DHIS2 experts how to address real-world challenges
